Only rated CL II, 3,500 lb limit? You'd be right on the limit with a fully loaded M101. Quite a few users routinely overload their M101's, seems like using this adaptor would limit your trailer's usefulness.
I'd go with a ball/pintle combo hitch for your truck. It's a lot more versatile, not...
Don't sweat it, the point of the post comes across. Vehicle recovery is indeed dangerous and all who participate must do so with caution, no matter what previous experience you have.[thumbzup]
I'm definitely not trying to downplay the hazards of recovery operations, but this accident didn't happen. At least not in the Army from 2000 to 2012. There isn't even anything that remotely comes close to the accident described. I can go back further as time permits, perhaps it occurred earlier...
That's a pretty significant event in terms of Army accidents. I'm tied in to the Army safety network fairly well but I haven't heard of this one. Where and when did it occur? Class A accidents are tracked very well, if this actually did happen I can get more details. I would find it hard to...
By all means please get started. A lot of us have read about synthetic winch rope and think we might understand the pros and cons, but if you have some actual testing experience that surely trumps the anecdotal comments I usually run across. There is some info on the site about synthetic, but...
In a case like this I'll just defer to to the Bradley forum. How many Bradley owners here? If we can have a niche forum like that, why not trains? What big kid doesn't like trains! :D
I was thinking about going, but I'm not sure if the wife has plan for us that weekend.
Is there a reason not to go to this one or perhaps not to support the GA MVPA? Not questioning your decisions, just wondering if there is a back story or some politics at play. I'm new to the MVPA and GA...
To add to what Recovry said about the bow holding brackets in the first pic, the things hanging on the rods are for canvas straps that once held the bows in place. The canvas straps often rot off.
An art deco M4? An M4 is about 50 years too late to be art deco. Art deco is a 1920's and 30's style characterized by precise and boldly delineated geometric shapes and strong colors.
Good job with some low cost pieces to add to your display. I'm sure you're tracking already, but even with...
Terrible. I personally dislike Priuses (Prii?) and Volts or more specifically the self righteous owners, but really what's not to like about using less fuel as long as you dont get penalized for it.
Aren't there some figures out there that show driving an older vehicle after it reaches a...
I don't buy or sell overseas via ebay anymore. There are just too many scams and too little protection for overseas deals. Some of these radio deals out of Cyprus and Israel are pretty tempting, but I'm far too wary. I've been scammed before as well.
Legit looking buyer pays for something via...
I've heard my M813 w/w is looking for a new home as well.
Manual or auto... personal preference. I've never owned a M925, but elsewhere here I've seen the auto trans is expensive to repair. But then again I've never repaired a manual trans either...
