2.5 inches is to small to notice axle hop. i had blocks on my suburban and i had a 350 in it and i had axle wrap when ever i wheeled it. it had 6 inch superlift springs and 5 inch blocks in the back. on 37 inch tall tires. now on my M1008 I have stock rear springs thinned out with ORD shackle...

I so could have used one of these in Yosemite.

But he might want to replace the old springs anyways. I would still do a shackle flip with new stock springs or just new rear springs with the stock hanger location.

I like superlift springs all shocks from the lift kit company's are the same. if you want better shocks you need to spend a little more. bds has free shipping to a bds vendor and life time warranty on springs and parts just not shocks.
