This is a picture of a long departed creation. Built in the barn from Scrap. I bought the M1009 at a Scrap residue sale. Another members ride now.

I will just park this picture here. This is Rednecks moving across country. Not something you see everyday. That is Terminus M1009 and the pristine truck bed is on a truck that I restored a few years back. The owner is a member here. The 101 trailer frame is still sitting at the scrap pile. It...

Was looking for a shop in or near Milwaukee to work on M1008; then did it all myself!

I found this picture I hope it helps motivate you. You are a great learner. Good Luck. Ignore that fitting. Not on the stock CUCV. The bolt and clamp are your goal.

You are missing a 1/4 x 20 bolt and clamp on the oil cooler lines. They secure the lines to a bracket that should be on the left exhaust manifold rear. If you encounter alignment difficulty thread a bolt into the bracket and get the lines over the bolt and add a nut. Sometimes getting the bolt...

Does it matter than the trans is in park? I can hook up the linkage again and shift it if does. It does not matter. You can manually shift the selector on the transmission. Leaving it in PARK is great. I must remove the starter correct? Yes. You must remove the starter and the starter heat...

M1008: Please help to understand wiring - some questions (Full wiring replacement with non-original)

Scrap. Good theft prevention devise. I would go thru the entire vehicle and remove all the hacking in the wiring and anywhere else. The stock CUCV has proven itself to me and many others as a reliable and durable vehicle. After all on a weekly basis how many CUCV's do you see on the road where...

    CUCVRUS Repair Projects

Does anyone know where this cab is at the moment? I rebuilt this truck a few years back. If I could turn back time. Enjoy the pictures. It is another CUCV that I saved from certain death. Can't save them all.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

If it ain't broke don't fix it comes to mind. Leak proof seals will. Murphy's Law applies here.

Man I tell you that is one clean truck. The underside looks like a 5 year old truck in Pennsylvania. Winter and snow plowing take a huge toll on the CUCV's I have had and still maintain. I think the end is near for the CUCV plow truck. They served well. But all good things must come to an end...

    Swollen glow plug removal

Getting it back to the glow plug controller card and wait light could be a major job or a simple job. Without seeing it I am not sure how they did the manual glow plug setup. I never done one. Mine were always on the circuit card controller. The newer circuit card control cards have fancy...

    Swollen glow plug removal

That one with the yellow head is not a cheapy. that is an original AC Delco 13 G. Back in the day they had yellow plastic insert and were made in USA. Now they have black plastic inserts and are made in Italy or Germany. IMHO they are still the best glow plugs for a CUCV 13G all the way. 25...

    CUCVRUS Repair Projects

I was successful at getting the windshield out in one piece and getting the roof cut off the M1009. I have a need for the rear roof flange. A customer called for it. I was surprised that it looked as good as it did. The engine short block is still in the frame in it's factory setting. SCRAP. The...

    CUCVRUS Repair Projects

Eve Of Destruction I am going out to do some destruction of CUCV's that in behind my barn. Sad but true. Somethings got to give. I will post pictures. Fair Warning it may be painful to see what is happening to the old iron. Think of it this way it makes other even more rare. It really cleans up...

    Rear window problem

Yes this is the clutch assembly that goes on the driver/crank assembly. Top of picture is the clutch then the pawl, the E clip and the spring. The driver and window crank will be part of this also along with a lock cylinder. These can be assembled easily and operate the regulator driver you have...
