What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

Thank you! The next one is going dark forest. I've not done this color before so we will see how it comes out. I know a few other members have done it and it looks good so there's really not much experimenting happening besides just doing it and maybe adding some black for contrast. :jumpin:

    GOVPLANET/USMC latest EUC times?

Then that's 3 separate employees from different departments giving false info..or the memo they were given to drive the narrative. What a mess.

    GOVPLANET/USMC latest EUC times?

That's the DLA side of things holding the process up, I've been told they imposed new requirements and GovPlanet is having to go back and make corrections to paperwork that's in the system. I've got 6 EUCs held up that have not even been sent to them they're so far behind, they were submitted on...

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

In the final phase of this M1081. It came a long way and should get the final brown and black Sunday. The truck came with a canvas turret cover but the hardware (assuming gun ring) is missing. Does anyone have photos of that setup?

I saw that too and thought it must have been a project of opportunity considering both are many generations old.

Battery Box With extendable battery tray , never seen it before.

That is an A1R battery box. Your M1081A1R was likely rebuild from an existing M1081(A0) and kept the original box. Only the new production late models got that battery box.

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

New to me M1079A1R came in and am going through it. Weak point in the harness/loose connection in terminal caused some funky issues and I assume that's why the unit was removed from service. I bundled the harness up and the issue went away so simple temporary electrical fix for now.

    LMTV/MTV A1 - Battery Cable Info

Would someone who owns an A1 (not A1R) please post a photo of their battery cable layout. I recently acquired an A1 that was overhauled into an A1R and S&S seemed to have blended the two designs together making a mess. No batteries in the truck currently (get it..current) and no labels.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

The rear PTO engagement lever broke so I extracted it, it was in the hardest to reach spot of course. The cable works fine but rust just seized up the pivot joint. Now to get the remains of the joint threaded off the PTO cable. aua

Going to pick up 2 LMTVs starts April 26

Yeah. I remember flat towing from Woodworth, LA to College Station, TX twice flat towing a deuce with a deuce, each an auction VFD truck in the dark with tropical storms rolling through. Sketchy AF. I still rank that recovery in my top 5 memories of "I should have died but Murphy was busy".
