HAHAHAHA! I just had mine hauled from there to Dallas, TX on Wednesday. The truck was listed at Kessler AFB and they decided to ship it to Saraland for who knows why. Anyway, if you want to have it hauled I know a transporter and you can pick it up at my lot here in Dallas. That should save you...
I can take this one. Usual auction prices for running A0's range from 6,500-10,000 before fees. A1's will range from 8,500-14,500 (runners bring over 10K usually). Define "nice", nicer looking units will bring 20% more so it seems. 100% functional is hard to say as well but drivable safely will...
Could a 1 ton pull a M939 with the brakes caged on an improved level surface with plenty of room to stop? Probably. Could it do it on an unimproved surface (dirt, gravel, etc)? Doubtful.
Could a 1 ton stop a M939 with the brakes caged on an improved level surface? Yes, but with how much room...
I'll be rolling in late Friday with the M1078. It will be her maiden voyage and break-in run so I've been prepping all week for the "just-in-cases". I do hope the rain keeps at bay for the weekend but at least it will be cool outside. Maybe we can play in the mud a little at BVORR. :driver:
Roughly 12,000 built but they wont come across the auction block until the units get new equipment so it will be a rolling phase I'm sure. I wouldn't count on all 12,000 coming out of course since a lot of them got armored overseas. At this point it's anyone's guess as to domestic quantity but...
Super dirty from cobwebs and cotton gin fluff but kept indoors. They came off a RRAD "overhauled" M101A2 I got back in 2014. I'd do $100 and bring them to the rally if wanted.
Does anyone know or do gear swaps for the FMTV/LMTVs here in Dallas, Tx? I can get the gears if need be but a one stop shop would be nice. Uhh..asking for a friend.
Dropped her off at the shop for ECM and TCM updates. I want them to pull the engine data to see what the actual miles are (if accurate) and exactly what operating conditions the truck has been through.
Mainly for hobby use but also useful for those unique situations where you need something moved and the ground won't let you get a forklift or etc in place. They really are a crane with wheels (but are terrible at being on-road wreckers). I bought a 2nd for lifting those larger loads like whole...
I managed to scoop up a M876A1 TMT "Telephone Maintenance Truck" but the data plate was missing. I've found 1 other member with a sister truck but no data plate on it either. Does anyone know of another truck in existence? I need the info off it. Thanks.
"With enough torque it doesn't matter." ~ Ijustmadethisup. Besides, if it does make contact they'll just paint the rough spots then all is well again. rofl
Gave #2 a steam bath. It really had no choice as greaser and cold power washing was not cutting cutting through the grime. It really made the difference.
