Have you downloaded the books on this machine? https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/mep-1030-1031-ammps-5kw-6115-01-561-7329.158371/
In the -10 book they have troubleshooting info related to ' Engine fails to crank '. I would start there.
Yes your N and GND should be bonded together in your panel, so you will want to disconnect the bonding bar in the genset. And reinstall if you are using as a discrete power source somewhere 'in the wild'.
N and GND should only be bonded once... so just think of it that way.
GIJoeCzar I think his username is, has alternate temp gauges up in the classifieds. Will read about 20* hotter than reality, but is a direct fit. Just a different set of resistance figures.
Just approach it methodically. Being that you already have power backup, no rush in missing something. If it were me, up and above everything I wrote I would also on my first place replace the entire return fuel line with Gates safety stripe and new 1/8" vacuum tees even before firing. The OEM...
Thats where we are on the auction cycle. We are at the end of the bell curve on these machines, the selection is much rougher than in previous years. At least at your buy price, I think you did OK even if you need to shoot the parts cannon at it a couple times to get it going.
And its tough to gather a lot from the photos, but nothing glaring sticks out... but rarely does. Before you throw batteries in it and give it a whirl, I would recommend taking the roof off the operator control cube to not only confirm there is no rodent nesting behind the S8 wall (and on the TB...

If you don't want this configuration, you would need to custom plumb a line from the external tank, to the onboard fuel pump, and also fashion a return line...
If you can figure out what you wife wants for dinner at least once a week, you can work on an MEP.
The DC voltage should be the same across the system, so you have already started to diagnose the issue!
Study the wiring diagram (both on the door, and in the TM if need be, as it has info about...
Start with the batteries, if you are only measuring 21V, I am surprised its even starting up. From the -24
22. GENERATOR SET FAILS TO GENERATE POWER.
Step 1. Test for defective ac circuit interrupter relay (K1), paragraph 2-61.3.
a. If AC circuit interrupter is not defective, do Step 2.
b. If...
I would look the cabinet over to see if there is any visible water retreat line, or rusted fasteners (or anything to indicate it might have been in a flood area). And look over any visible wire contacts for any powder corrosion showing the presence of water.
I would only be suspect in the cost...
