Agree, look for NOS and avoid new push button switch.

If you are driving on road I think you will prefer the radials over the bias ply.

Consider buying an H1. Already 12 volt,clear on road title,creature comforts, etc The 2 alternator system in CUCV seems to challenge many of us!

Sounds like a deal on a running M1009 with clean body. You still need to watch for rust. Check your local junkyards for rear seat...shipping would be expensive. Some people just leave them out anyway.

The hub nuts on my USMC M151A2 were easily removed with large adjustable wrench. Some rust and old grease inside but no problems.

I would anticipate continued strong demand as most of the ones auctioned have been soft tops and have been outside for years. There is always a possibility that the government may dump thousands of soft tops and doors and they again become cheap. May be better to buy now before thousands of...

Saw a 2 man kit for $575 on the big auction site. I don't think GMA or anyone can start making and selling them for less than that. Check the price on Wrangler tops, etc!

$100.00 HMMWV tops in any color might be a good investment!
