    This is not a good idea, if you forget to drop it back to direct and go for low range. Double OD do not work.

    The M1078 has air wedge brakes all the way around. You need a air pot or a complete backing plate with shoes. I have a lot of new ones here.

    Too much trouble to rebuild chunks, just get 2 more good ones and replace the pinion seals.

    It is not the seal. The seal holder behind the U joint, there are 2 different ones. When you remove ball&claw or con-vel axles and install U axles everything locks up when the spindle in bolted down.

    On Rockauto you can look it up under 2003 F750. pn# FRC 11869n and FRC11870n. You can find the pads and hardware there. These will be the calipers i use on my next axle build.

    If your going to do this you need to use this caliper, meritor 4 piston. These are on rockauto cheap, pads and all. I can not find the rotor # right now, but there is one.
