Also check to see if you have the rubber gasket between the bottom of the windshield frame and the cowl. Lots of water comes in there too. Mine is missing. Driving my truck in the rain is like having a screen door for a windshield.
Cool. Have you driven your truck in the rain? Make sure the windshields seal very well. My truck pours water right where you have your radio placed when I drive in the rain. And a few other places too.
I will need to get a rivet gun and the proper pits for it, as well as a good bucking bar and a large quantity of aircraft rivets if I do an MVPA quality restoration. There are a lot of corroded and popped off rivets that need replaced. Proper restoration would require full deconstruction and...

I can do some sheet metal work, and I do have a thermal dynamics tig machine, but I know how rust is. Once it starts you can never get rid of it. The frame is a lot more rotted out than it looks in the picture.

Ok, My mite has the M38 windshield frame upgrade and it is rusted out. I need a new windshield frame but I need to know if it is a frame from a regular m38, or an m38a1? I'm going to order a new repro if the price is right and I don't want to order the wrong one.
