Anyone going to the rally from the DC area???
Gimpy has a compressor that I need that he could bring to the rally if someone could bring it back up this way.
Could probably also use a M1009 rear seat if anyone has one as it appears that I just bought a M1009 without one.
Any help appreciated...
Re: RE: top speed for m1009
Ok, so I'm about to air my stupidity. I thought the CUCV's had some stupidly high gear ratio that did not allow it to "go fast". Please correct my misunderstanding.
Second to this discussion is the fact that I have the option to buy a M1009, provided I do so by 2...
Sorry to hear of your loss...
I had stuff taken from an M35A2 at Anneville also - batteries and box, alternator and bracket, compressor, power and start switch. Filing a claim was a waste of time. I ended up having H&S Towing pick the truck up off base for me.
DO NOT assume that GL will hold...
Nope, 10/3. I could not believe it when the invoice was there this morning when I turned the computer on. Sent to Battle Creek the same day I sent it to GL and then 2 business days at Battle Creek.
This is like the 20th EUC in the last 12 months and I've got the paperwork down to a science...
Yeah, it's complete - which is amazing. Cargo cover, batteries....
Not sure if the wife is gonna like it parked in the back yard with it cabled up to the house
Gee honey, you'll still be able to use the hair dryer, run the well pump and heat the house when the power goes out.
EUC submitted to GL on 10/3, Friday in the pm.
Invoice received and "Customer Notified" 10/8, Wednesday in the early am.
That's 2 business days, Monday and Tuesday that the EUC was in Battle Creek.
I wasn't expecting this this soon! I still have an 813 to go get in Richmond first.
At least...
Oh my eyes!!! The chrome bling handles..........
Gimme your address and I'll send you a can of camo spray paint.
Good idea though. Where can one obtain such an item?
The key point here is that the MINIMUM bid price on this contract is 4.5% of the DLA price. That means a non-winch deuce would be $1876 - no matter the condition. Are any dealers going to bid that much - on EVERY truck that comes through? Imagine if 30% of the inventory comes through as crap...
I had the same problem on my 6.5 two different times. It turned out to be 2 different problems.
If this setup is the same? I had a bad line under the fuel filter that was leaking the 1st time, and the 2nd time it was a fuel bleed valve that was not fully closed and thus leaking down under the...
I've got it on Shorty the bobbed deuce. It was almost impossible to drive with the 16.00 XL's without the air assist. Two more of the fleet have it also. It helps, but I wouldn't spend the $1800, I'd find one that had it already.
YUP, I agree. But I'm still into the truck for less than $2k and it's a winch truck and had a pile of chains in it, several new tires and a convoy light. Needs a compressor and some alternator brackets.
There was no way I could get the truck off the base by the pick-up date, so I had to do...
