Looks great! I was amazed at how much easier a substantially bigger truck was to drive when I got mine. Look like the kids are lovin' it. Belt fed Nerf gun...too cool. I wish I could do the parade thing. My insurance (State Farm) was pretty emphatic about no passengers in the back. Already...
I just ordered a sensor from Those Military Guys. Suprman told me he has good used PCUs. I'm hoping it's just the sensor itself and not the entire PCU.
Check the continuity from the connectors on the PCU back to the ECU connector. I've been told numerous times there is a propensity for the...
I went through the troubleshooting guide again step by step. I checked every single electrical connection checking for continuity and shorts. I finally got to the section on checking the PCU sensor. Everything is pointing to the sensor being bad. Of course, it says if it fails the tests...
Should that little pressure relief valve on the side of the PCU open right away? I took the cover off the PCU so I could watch it and feel around for leaks when it tries to start. As soon as the system hits 120 PSI the CTIS turns on and tries to work. That little relief valve opens right...
Carefully going through the trouble shooting guide again, I'm seeing the PCU Sensor as a possible cause. This is the little square sensor on top of the PCU. I can't find anything that says how to test this sensor without the computer or having a replacement sensor.
I had 48 ohms and continuity on them all. It's almost instant on the 5 light flash. When I first got the truck it worked fine, then it started making a real fast "click-click-click-click". If I pushed any mode button it would stop clicking for a little while and work normally. Then one day...
I just ordered 3 of the solenoids from PLCcenter.com. Both times I took apart the PCU the same valve was open. I know it was clean and moved freely. I'm hoping it's the solenoid for that valve that's acting up, even though it's testing OK. As soon as the truck hits the 120 PSI and the CTIS...
Hmmm, my CTIS was working fine when I got the truck. Then it starting acting up and I could hear a solenoid cycling very quickly: click click click click. If pushed a mode button (any of them) it would stop and work normally. Then one day it quit working and I got the 5 light error. When I...
We have the Teton Pass here. 10% grade in spots. There are 2 runaway truck ramps, but they are on the opposite side of the road! Scary that a truck would have to cross the center and go off the left side. They have been used many times. Had a tour bus full of people lose brakes and hit the...
This thread just saved me. I drained a little fuel out of filter per PMCS. Truck ran for a while then died and wouldn't re-start. I figured it was air in the system and went to the TM. They say to prime the system, but both version I have only showed the older style pump with the "T" handle...
Got the ABS fault fixed. The little wire clip on the main plug into the ECU was popped off one side and the plug was a little loose. Took it apart and cleaned it up and the fault cleared.
