I detest them as well. I would go the battery route first, it can be something simple. Much cheaper to check than get a module or tow it back to the transmission shop!
I haul a M967 5,000 gallon tanker with my M915a1 all the time, handles it very well. I would LOVE to get a M915A4, so the parts are basically the same, to use all the time too. One day when I'm making enough from my business to warrent it...
Glad it went to a good home! I've been wanting that trailer for years, but when it finally came up I didn't have the funds, I had already bought one in TX. Would have been a much shorter recovery!

The frame is in great shape actually.
Ok, I'm going to let the cat out of the bag. This wrecker will be rebuilt. Mechanically it is in good shape. I have a source of 90% of the sheet metal. I will be picking up small bits and pieces to do a complete resto.
