1500 pounds? A 5 ton axle with tires/ rims on it weighs more than that! Of course the wrecker wasn't taxed! I would have thought that chopper weighed more though.
You have a bad tire somewhere, or loose/ cracked wheel studs somewhere. When you got the truck had it been sitting on any flats for a long time? That ruins the sidewall and will make them do this. I found two tires on my wrecker that were bad like that, replaced them, and no longer have a...
You know, I am not a fan of digital camo on anything but gear, but I can tell you are putting a lot of effort into it to keep it from looking tacky. The main thing is that it is to scale for the most part.
I removed my heater setup from under hood for the summer months to free up some room, pressure washed all the grease off of everything I could, found out something in my front end is shot( thinking kingpin bushings) and ordered parts for said front end rebuild, including new boots because mine...
If I were you I would try and find a rebuildable core and just rebuild it and install instead of buying a new one. I know pipe fitter welders are excellent welders, but bear in mind that that housing is cast, and cast can not be reliably welded. Not when it comes to a brake system anyway.

where is the muffler located? If it is under the
truck behind the battery box, take it off, it doesn't belong there unless it is a non turbo truck. Now if the muffler is above the fender just below the top stack section then it is just an aftermarket add on and is ok.
How bad was the cab rust man?
edit: oh btw, yes it is looking very good. Any reason you decided to go with black on the motor instead of green? I prefer a green motor, but that's just me.
That seal doesn't need to come off, but if you are replacing anyway just use a small hammer and small chisel to tap it off from the back side. Get the chisel as close to the spindle as possible. Or you can use the chisel to just cut it off.
