They do make adapter spacers to use 8 lug on 6 lug axles. I don't think it's a worthwhile thing to do though because with 3.08 gears it's going to be pathetically slow and strain those 10 bolts.
Mine seems to make a fairly noticeable difference when it's connected vs not connected while driving thru the mountains. I use the ORD kit and just keep it nice and greased up.
I essentially did the above install. Used a harbor freight winch mount that I cut down. I then drilled holes in my frame up front and mounted the winch up side down behind the bumper. I cut a hole where the plate goes for a fairlead and used maglite mounts to mount a plate that clips on and off...
its a zero lift shackle flip from totally naked auto that's local to me. Yes it's adjustable for stock 52's up to 64's. I mainly got it because it doesn't raise the truck up at all but I also plan on going to 56's at some point.

i bought calipers from advance for my 14 bolt (same style as the front 10 bolt calipers) and they were the same as my old 10 bolt ones.
You can use a zero rate block from ORD or diy4x. It just bolts to the spring pack using the center pin. You'd just have to keep an eye on drive shaft length
