Not a good day today. I was moving some mulch with the loader on my FLU419 through our yard to put on the blueberry bushes. I was already messing the lawn up with the weight. Unfortunately, I sunk far enough that I needed 4X4. Also unfortunately, my 4X4 no longer functions for some reason...
I have actually used the loader on my tractor to pick up material and dump it in the loader on the FLU to drive it on the road to where the material was needed. Much faster and more accurate removal of material.
I can do fairly accurate work with the backhoe on my FLU419, especially digging ditches, and the more I use it the better I get. However, almost every time I try to do accurate work with the loader, I end up parking and switching to my John Deere 5520 tractor and loader, which is much easier to...
I would call the Arizona DOT yourself and explain the situation. Find out what is involved for the current owner to have the title corrected. I've had two similar problems in the past in Georgia and the state readily corrected the problem when I showed them proof of the error. Once was for...
As Natrgatr said, make sure the PTO is engaged. To engage the PTO, move the lever to the rear with the clutch depressed. You can hear the PTO when engaged. Also, make certain you never drive the FLU419 with the PTO engaged or you will cause damage. The switch for increasing RPM on the rear...
TM9-8031-2 is what I think you are looking for. It's too large to transfer via SS. You can download it for free at: http://jeepwillysworld.com . Just type in TM 9-8031-2 in the search box.
I absolutely wouldn't replace that starter. The starter didn't burn out, it simply got flooded and dirty. Take it to a reputable starter repair shop. They should be able to make it look and perform like new. If you don't have a local shop that can do the work, send me a PM and I'll send you...
I burned off the rubbery/plastic coating on an M35A2 battery bracket in a fire. I tried sand blasting, but that didn't work so I went to fire. It burned off really well, but left crispy ash all over the steel and smelled terrible when burning - probably some carcinogens there so I left the...
Just because the brake fluid looks amber, don't assume it is DOT 3. DOT5 is purple when new, but turns amber with age. Take a sample of the fluid and put it in water. DOT 3 is miscible in water, but DOT 5 isn't.
I only run off-road diesel in my MEP003A. However, I religiously add OptiLube XPD to the fuel for lubricity. During a study, OptiLube XPD came out number one for adding lubricity to diesel fuel. I use it in all my diesel engines. I have attached a copy of the study. Some additives actually...
It puts a large amount of stress and wear on the mechanism. Fred was adamant not to use the compression release while starting. It is also not needed if you have a good battery installed.
I agree with you. The Pirellis ride a little harder, but I feel a lot more secure when on the highway - not so much bouncing. The tire shop basically had zero problems removing the old tires and mounting the new ones by hand. They lubed everything up really well and one or two whacks with a...
I received my 5 NOS Pirelli PS 12.5 X 20R tires from CSM Army Tires and had them mounted. It took the tire shop 4 hours to mount all five tires. Getting the old tires off the wheels and the new tires on the wheels by hand wasn't that difficult. However, inflating the new tires was a real...
Yeah, I just finished re-reading the FLU419 SEE HMMH HME Owners Group again from beginning to end for the third time since I got my SEE. Every time I read it I see something I missed previously or something I forgot. There is a lot of very good information there. Kudos to Migginsbros for...
