Good plan just make sure you have enough fuel stored ahead of storm. I'm sure many neighbors would be glad to have visitor show up with power, bring a collection of wire and connectors
The best plan is to present a complete plan for pre approval when go to get the permit. That way the inspector would have to say the other inspector at the office was wrong.
if you cut the seal here they assume your stealing power and minimum fine of $200.00, often will require a full inspection before they will turn power back on. If they are in bad mood they just cut your lines at the pole. Don't mess with seal on the meter can, without permit posted next to it...
Have not seen this discussed about load management. This would be handy even if you don't use an auto transfer switch. These are from generac smm 7000 module, they turn of the load by monitoring a frequency drop, each unit good for 50amp/240 load and you can have up to 8 priorities set $120.00...
There is utube video how to use a 200 amp generac transfer switch with mep Gen, however it is manually switched to gen but will auto back utility power. The switch also has built in load shedding modules for up to four AC'S, based cutoff of the thermostats, it monitors frequency to determine...
Venting and biodiesel are your two storage problems. How long without power had two hurricanes leave me 22 days and 8 days. That 22 day one taught me stock up well in advance, we were out of gasoline days before the storm from people evacuating. Also keep a fair amount of cash no credit cards or...
Actually let me correct and confuse. First it is not BSP but NPS. I took my 1/4" NPT pickup tube connector and ran it through 1/4" x 18 NPS die so my pickup tube will seal via oring on the bottom of the bung . However I bought a 1/4" x 18 NPS tap to clean the rust out of the bung adapter and the...
Turns out the treads on bung adapter are not 1/4"NPT they are 1/4"BSP. Found when I ran the pipe tap in to clean the rust out. NPT parts work but you won't get a lot of thread.
So I found out how long the two pieces are, but I still don't know the length from bung hole plug bottom to end of pick-up tube. Now I know I can make my own measurements, but curious how far military stayed off the bottom, as a reference for making mine.
Took a new direction a single phase 15k unit based on Kubota v1505-e4b governed 25hp diesel and Mecc alte NPE32D4 with Digital DRE1 regulator which talks via Modbus to dynagen TG410 controller. It will be able to mimic most if not all the mep functions including on board tank refill got sound...
Interesting is when I went take it apart everything was already loose, handle screws, fuel fitting. Fair amount of rust on both threads of the bung head, which means it had been laying around with no hose connector or down tube. pipe tap will clean the up threads just fine. The two rubber parts...
I was just looking through gov planet they don't have single running 803 available all were no start or parts missing, guess the party is kind of over. I'm glad I got my 802a
More research has revealed that delta v to delta v transformer has very limit load capacity using the neutral to get 120v. Plus it does not evenly load the 3phase side either. So the story ends badly the unit will be returned with a restock fee, I don't think he should have pay it because the...
If mep were a consumer product yes, however the units are not readily available and the customer will not buy unit at an auction. He got serviced unit with a warranty, saw it run and pass a load test. He also can't stand to wait for deal, he will pay more to have it now. He went with me to pick...
What it came down to was a combo, he really likes the mep line, quiet and diesel. He had 9000 watt screamer that didn't meet his needs. He doesn't want to manage his load on backup. The guy that sold him the machine told him was a 15k and didn't mention you can only get 10k out of it. So he...
