LT i was in the army for 3 years... spent my time mostly in a motor pool till we deployed... i'm no expert but i try my best. CUCV's i'm not real familiar with but it's what i could afford.
looks the same except for the holes on the back of the head side outlets... if you plug those it's right i guess... shape and fittings look ok... though i don't have it in my hands to judge size effectively.
when we did my buddy's shocks on his 88 suburban if i recall correctly we jammed a craftsman wrench inside the frame on the nut and then ratcheted off the bolt. took literally 2 minutes and the wrench just locked itself against the frame. i think i'm describing this accurately but i could be...
the TM says that the WIF light means there is too much water IN the tank itself and would require the tank to be removed and drained. I think it was the TM... or the GM diesel motors repair manual. Either way i think you have water in the tank itself... i would suggest running the fuel down...
