Working On The M561 Gama Goat

I like the video! How about a walk around video or pics of your rig? It looks like a really nice driver. Did not seem too noisy and steers nice and straight.

Deuce Winch Issue - grinding under load

Based on sketch 2 from Gringletaube's post it looks like a simple band around a drum with constant tension. I presume it is adjusted for a certain drag so that it can be freespooled. does it somehow tighten up under load in or load out? kind of like a sprague clutch or perhaps more like a...

Deuce Winch Issue - grinding under load

I hope this is not hijacking--is the brake then just to put tension on the cable for spooling in and out. a light drag on the line so to speak or in case the cable breaks? anyone know that's reading?

    Introduction to Steel Soldiers

Good pics Arno! And welcome again from Colorado. I did a hitch in the Army in Pirmasens. Beautiful country. Keep us posted as to your work progress. I was wondering if the folks at the "registration/license plate bureau" made it very difficult to get plates? It can be challenging here in...

Bought a M818, What to look out for?

I think those are great looking trucks. Good job! Welcome from Colorado. I would imagine someone probably used a rebuild date rather than the original manufacture date on the data tag.

    Don't lose your nuts !

True story. When you need it you need it. It would be nice to have ready access or storage for tons of various hardware but reality has a way of trimming back your options. Storage costs, searching, returning, taking back getting refunds costs. I say try to put it behind you and not beat...

    M35A2 injection pump install

Not sure what your thoughts on the subject are, but that seems like a temporary fix at best to me. I presume it must have rusted completely through for someone to try this as a fix. Is the rest of the cab solid? door bottoms not rusted through? I am sure Florida is mighty rough on exposed...

    M35A2 injection pump install

You might want to double check the hood and roof as there are replacements for the metal ones that are fiberglass. That might be what you have already.

    M35A2 injection pump install

Were the old lines capped or taped to prevent critters and debris from getting in to them? Not knowing how long the old pump was off. If not you may want to take them down and blow them/flush them out. Of course you have probably thought of that though. If you were not lucky enough to get...
