Questions about Starter and flex plate for M1009

Is the civy and military flex plate the same? Is the starter the same except for the actual motor being 24v instead of 12v? I have a new starter with a cracked nose and possible a bad bendix. Can I salvage this stuff from a bad 12v civy starter and put them in the 24v starter? Anyway I need the...

    Gages

I think voltage might be a problem. The Deuce gages are 24 volt. If you tap the power from a 24 volt source instead of a 12 volt source and use the deuce 24 volt sending units it should work ok.

Rolling Sculpture Car Show in Ann Arbor Michigan JULY 14

I am a beat cop near where this car show is so I am usually working. I am taking the day off to be able to attend. I will take my bike and ride around to see the other cars. I ride a bike on duty so I am wondering why I don't just go to work that day and get paid.

    Problems getting CUCV Key

At least there is no batteries in it. At least leave me enough to winch it onto the trailer. I still have to take the winch apart to check it out before install and get a bracket welded. I do have all the parts now. I just need time to get it down. To many projects to little time. The parking...

    trans power take off units

After the response I got on a parts request from Sarafan a few months ago I will never call them ever again. They made me feel like I was bothering them so I bothered someone else with my big dollar order. I got a great rebuilt PTO from Kenny for $150 but Fedex promptly decided to break off...

Rolling Sculpture Car Show in Ann Arbor Michigan JULY 14

I just mailed in my registration form for the Rolling Sculpture Car Show in Ann Arbor, MI on July 14th. Anyone familiar with Ann Arbor will tell you that it is the place Hippies go to be Hippies again. Just a few weekends ago they had the Hash Bash. A few weeks before the car show they have a...

    Problems getting CUCV Key

Thanks for the offer. I am set up to be there Thursday at 12 noon. I went out and used this as an excuse to buy a new electric winch. 10,000 lbs should yank it up just fine. I plan on putting it on a Receiver hitch mount later but in the time being I need figure a way to mount it on the trailer...

vin letter denotes brake capacity whats the difference?

Larger brake rotors and calipers. larger brake drums and wheel cylinders. Larger master cylinder and most likely an upgraded hydroboost unit but I am not sure about this one. Mostly it is the larger size of brakes with the larger surface area for the larger friction material. My F350 has a...

    Transmission shift stick knob

I was kidding about the torch. Cutting with a cutoff wheel is a much better option. You could then turn down the shaft and thread it. I still think you can get it off with enough leverage. Do let us know how it turns out. It may be easier to just stick in an automatic.

    Transmission shift stick knob

Any knob can be removed with the proper application of a blue wrench or an appropriate circular or reciprocating cutting instrument. I would guess that you could take a rag and put it over the knob then use a pipe wrench to unscrew it. The rag is so you don't mess up the knob. I don't know for...

    Problems getting CUCV Key

I did get the one at Selfridge for $800 and change. My cousin does body work on the side so I figure we can patch up the body as long as this one is complete. It would be a good practice vehicle that I can learn on without worrying about messing up a good vehicle. With your condition report my...

    How to identify whistler turbo?

I'll never forget the whistle of the C and the bang of the 155mm m198 howitzer. I think everyone should be able to pull the tail on that pig. When one would fire a cherry to the gun line would jump when the boom hit them. We could sleep through a fire mission.

    Problems getting CUCV Key

Being the responsible person I searched and found the topic with the key codes for the cucv. I then took it to the local Chevy dealer and was told I needed a registration or title for them to do it. They then said something about the "information act" and I assume they were talking about the...
