Keep an eye on g503.com - 1/4 ton trailer forum, I've seen them listed there on more than one occasion. Another place to check is mullensjeepparts.com , Brent has quite a bit of 416 stuff.
Good luck
Just a reminder that WWII weekend is this Friday, Saturday, Sunday at the Reading, Pa. airport.
This is one you really don't want to miss :!:
Google" WWII Weekend " for all the details.
Scott, there was a post here on SS somewhere not to long ago with some pictures of a Canadian Deuce and some other stuff. In the background you could see one of their trailers and it had a tailgate in the front also. I can't recall what it was under, but maybe you'll have better luck finding...
416 Trailer
Medlog,
Do they keep records on M416's like they do with larger stuff?
If so, would you please see what you could/can locate on this one. 1967 Stevens, serial # 2583, Army Reg # 06H41368 and I got it out of Ft. Meade.
Thank you sir,
Kyle,
You can get new data plates from Rod Shaver at mvdataplates.com , and he does a beautiful job stamping them too. I just ordered a set for my 105A2.
Something else I found was that under the orginal data plate on mine, the serial number was stamped upside down into the frame.

If you get pinched for time, see if someone with a rollback can fetch it. Maybe give him one of the shelters in trade for doing the job. Depending which shelters they are, they make good one man campers or great storage containers.
Let us know how you make out.
Jim,
When you hooked the air line up, did you hook it to the service side? It's usually on the left and colored either blue or yellow. The (service) side only has air when you step on the pedal, whereas the other (emergency) side has air all the time, and will keep the brakes on.
By the way...
Re: RE: Well I won it
Dave, Here in the northeast scrap metal is over $12.00 @ 100lb and alum. is over .70 @ pound. That'll give you some idea what it'll bring.
Rich, your other post is in the trailer forum.
I ran into this same problem once with a dump trailer and once a dump truck and both times it was the cylinder packing. When it wore out it would let the cylinder bind on the way down and there it hung.
Check with someone that rebuilds hyd...
