Dennis, that's a nice find.
Once you figure out whats going where, I'm still looking for a rear axle shaft for the hub end. If ya have one that's bent, broke, or bad splines, I want it, so keep me in mind please.
Now ya really got plenty of irons in the fire...
Thank you, but it's all about the look. Plus fronts are nearly as hard to come buy here.
Just my luck, I find a guy that has one and he's Uruguay, South America. :(
I'll bet there's all kinds of "Chicken Lips" layin around down there too, Right?
Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Lookin for a broken axle
Thanks ucfjeeper. I tried to register on the site but it kept telling me the code was wrong and after 4 tries it bounces ya out.
Details, it's always the little details. :x
Re: RE: Re: RE: Lookin for a broken axle
Thanks admiral, but I hate the idea of cuttin up a good axle. I'm certain there's someone out there thats broken at least one and wouldn't mind gettin it off the junk pile. One of our local fire companies said they had a guy break two when it...
Re: RE: Lookin for a broken axle
I know that's a possibility also Mike, but I want to keep it as orginal looking as I can and still free up the tandems.
I have this need to plague myself with details.
Thanks for the reply.
As most of my driving is ON rather than OFF road I'm looking for a broken axle for the hub end. Gonna remove left front rear axle, and want to use just the hub end of a broken one to cap off the hub. PM me if you have one and how much you'd like for it.
1st Duce,
The two times I was there they had trucks coming in on flatbeds and they all had the tops, bows and sides removed like yours. I doudt yours was there more than a few months judging from the way the lot looked after just three weeks between my visits. The Duces that came in on drop...
Welcome aboard "1st Duce", I was just there today, picked up mine and a 105 trailer.
The GL people (Mike) was very helpful, in and out in no time, he's got it all together.
Good luck with your new truck, ya came to the best place on the web to live and learn Duce!!
Bill
If it's tire pressure, it will usually pull the steering one way or the other. Wobbles are usually caused by bearings worn or out of adjustment, or steering part wear. Start at the wheels and work your way back to the steering box looking for excessive movement, rust, bent or damaged parts...
I'm not sure where to place this, so Moderators, do your thing.
Won a Duce & 105 trailer out of Chamberburg on a GL sale a month ago. Sent EUC and all required paperwork in very next day. WEEK later I hear from GL, Fax fuzzy can't read ZIP or make out license photo. Next day I send...
Thanks Medlog for the info, Where do you go to get it? As for the other numbers, the truck has been repainted so they are covered for now. I'll get the serial & reg# tomorrow.
Thanks again.
Need some help with the bumper markings on my duce, please.
Left side...... ECS 27 under that A 20 . Right side 77 C- R .
I'd also like to know where to find info on these units once identified?
Thank you,
Bill
Re: RE: Fording Kit Update
I'm sure there's somebody in the neighborhood with an inground pool.
