Ferro isn't lying, I'm the guy that scrapes them up. I think we had one 3 mile section of heavy main line with two NS tracks and one CSX track that averaged one person hit a year in ten years, cars and pedestrians.
I was in a Brigade HHC motor section, and we had one deuce with two 300 gal. fuel pods, and a trailer with another pod in it. That's it. I think one year we went to AT with 110 vehicles in our motor pool, and that's the only fueling capability our unit had. We had a unit that would set up fuel...
Somebody needs to be in JAIL. Actually, a BUNCH of people need to be in jail for this. This "Colonel" needs to lose his pension as a minimum. Heck, you might as well have gone with a beefed up M-151A2, with what that Growler piece of crap was.
That just looks like a really inefficient design. I like the shop truck we had in my motor pool better, it just had high sides on it, with fiberglass lining under the canvas. The inside had cabinets and work benches on both sides, and the rear was framed in with plywood and a steel door.
Anyone know of a reasonably priced 24v charger with enough juice to start a deuce with a failing battery? I'm going to sell my deuce (as a parts truck) but it doesn't have enough juice to start it. I want to be able to have it run for any potential buyer, but I don't want/need an expensive...
You might do better to find some 5" hard suction hoses, and just order a 4 1/2" to 5" adapter. I believe you might have more luck finding old civilian 5" suction hose than 4 1/2", which I've never really seen.
Russians aren't exactly smart when it comes to driving. Watch a couple of videos of Russian driving and you'll wonder why they aren't still living in caves... I had a friend who visited one of the Southern Russian former territories and he said on average, it was normal to drink 12-18 shots a...
I don't know what kind of specific tow bar would work, but you can definitely do it. We used to tow Jeeps with tow bars all the time in the Guard. A lot of times we'd have one in the back, and one being towed behind. And you can even tow another M-35. Gimpy might be a good person to ask.
Quick question. How do you adjust or determine flow rates when using a gravity flow centrifuge? Is there a certain orifice you use, or do you just use a valve and just guesstimate?
Ok, so I think I'm close to getting a setup, it would filter 55 gal. of WVO or WMO in 2-4 hours depending on how dirty the oil is. It would be mounted to a drum already, so it would easily fit in most larger SUV type vehicles, vans, and obviously pickups. It shouldn't be very heavy as it would...
H1's are back, kinda sorta...
Evidently they're making H1's again, if you're into that sort of thing...
Sounds like a lot of them are going to go to China, maybe they're trying to destroy China slowly with smog. You won't be able to get one here though. Maybe if you put in a Tesla drive...
I could go on for hours on some of the stupid things that the powers that be want you to do to "be safe", that are really meaningless. Reflective vests and the notorious "PT belts" are useless and not needed 90% of the time. And the news reporters that have to explain to you every time it...
The only reason that Ammonia is not classified as a flammable is so that farmers don't have to go through as much regulation when they transport it. It does burn quite well once heated enough.
Here's a pic of what it looks like on a deuce, it's unpainted steel. I think I was asking $65 for a pair, not sure what shipping would be, but they're not too heavy. I believe they're 1/8" steel.
