HMMWV's for sale, no longer maybe, it happened

I don't have to hold my breath, I wouldn't want one anyway. I'd take a good ol' M151 over a HUMVEE any day. I fit in one of those better than the truck that's twice as big.

Prepping to buy a Deuce for farm use. Couple Questions..

Something no one else has mentioned is the bed of the deuce. I'd put some kind of non-skid surface on the floor of the bed, it can be kind of slick when wet. Either some kind of spray in bed liner, or paint it and put down sand or grit while still wet. You might also want to add some heavy...

    Mice

As for traps, I like the sticky traps. If I can get the traps in, I can get them out, with the mouse.

    Feeler for M35A2 Hard Tops

On a related topic, have you found any windows from Lippert that are the same size?? I desperately need a new slider, or even a solid window to replace the original that's all rotted.

LDT 465 Multifuel. Andy3's Broken Camshaft

I nominate Oddshot for Official SS Deuce Coroner... Was that blue fabric an actual sterile surgical drape?? :D

    My filtration system

Well maybe not fast, but yes. It will be thinned a bit and heated also.

    My filtration system

Here's some pics of my setup, which I hope to have done in the next week or two, before it starts getting cold. Both of the drums are settling tanks, the one on the left is my improved version. I let most everything settle in 5 gal. buckets (sealed) for at least a few months. Then it goes...

    Two Tank

Old distillate and diesel tractors had those in the 30's and 40's, so it's been done. Probably putting a 2 gal. gravity tank under the hood with a way to remotely open and close fuel line valves would be all you need to do. The hardest part would be to rig up the linkage to operate the valves.

Anybody interested in steps for a deuce?

But you really need the steps, otherwise you can't get in and drive your deuce... http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?127824-Heavy-duty-side-steps-for-M35-s&highlight=deuce+steps

Anybody interested in steps for a deuce?

OK!! FINALLY, after two machine shops, and way too much time, I got some made up. I've got an ad in the classifieds, so check it out if you're interested. If I sell the 3 sets I have, I can have more made as people are wanting them. I'm satisfied with the quality, but these guys are not...

    master cylinder

Anyone remember which thread showed how to make a homemade bleeder?? And is it denatured alcohol you use to flush the system?? I can't find those threads and I've searched for an hour.

    Inline Fuel Heater

I forgot the subject of the OP, I'd be using my 50/50 in a multifuel deuce. As for the "petroleum lobby", the Government makes more off of a gallon of fuel than they do. Personally, I'd rather give it to "Big Oil", at least I can buy stocks and make a little money back.

Taking Deuce on 1,500 mile ride. Help, thoughts, recommendations.

I didn't see anyone mention a co-driver. Helps if she's cute... Mechanical ability is a plus too.

    Battery Safety

I was taught to gently sprinkle baking soda on the battery, then gently rinse. After that, any dirt could be cleaned with soap and a stiff brush (NOT a wire brush)

How does running a 50/50 blend of WMO and diesel work?

    My filtration system

I'm out in the country so that's exactly how I do it. The firewood that gets the goo on it is STRICTLY for the bonfire pit, never the fireplace inside. But then again it should be obvious, at least to most guys here...

    My filtration system

Well I don't have my system up yet, but I did make a second settling tank yesterday. I got a 3/4" bulkhead fitting from TSC so I can drain off the water and settled goo from the bottom. I don't have that feature on the first tank. I'm starting to fill that one now. I have to clean the 100...

    My filtration system

I've basically been getting a bunch of used motor oil from friends and neighbors, along with a little stale gas, and about ten gallons of clean fuel oil taken from a tank that was being removed from a house. I've thrown in some old diesel treatment left over from when I had a Cummins Dodge. I...

    My filtration system

Can you elaborate on the comment on particle load? I'm planning on filtering to 1/2 micron, and my first batch has been settling for about a year. (other priorities) But is 1/2 micron acceptable?
