I've used my spare four times now. And once I put it on, I fix the problem tire (tube swap, tire swap, whatever) and that becomes the new "spare" while the other stays on the truck.
How much can a replacement rim cost? Can't be much more than having it welded. And even if it is a lot more...
We are sending an advance team out to sweep for metal, nails, landmines, etc and to set up the Port-A-Potties and mobile strip club. They could use a hand if you want to head out there.
I'm not suggesting anyone in our group is shady, but before I leave a truck with no keys required in the dez along with ATVs, tools, parts and personal gear I would like to know that someone has my back and will keep an eye on it. Especially if the trail ride goes down Saturday. Bad Carp said...
Just did the annual oil change and then pressure washed the engine. Looks like the front crankshaft seal is leaking too. I plan on swapping it out and installing the radiator I got from 100Dollarman and all new coolant hoses. Hopefully I'll be running out of things to fix soon.

My son who was 13 or 14 at the time did most of the work. The big difference between these low cost kits and the conversion you mentioned is MONEY. You'll have less money if you pay 1500 to do it another way. I have...
What time is everyone showing up Thursday? Would someone be willing to keep an eye on my deuce if we come up Thursday and leave Saturday for 10-12 hours? LMK.
I would need to leave my deuce, ATV and other misc gear while I went home to take care of the Boy Scout fundraiser. I'll keep all my...
Installed two new Titan 11.00 x 20s up front. Looks like the rubber in the rear will last awhile longer. Picked up 5 gallons of oil for the annual spring change.
I can understand being justifiably excited and proud of your huge MV score, but don't take my posting the blog link as a negative stab. It's a safety reminder.
And I agree that the trucks appear to be maintained, just not very well with an attention to detail. Just a guess, but had it not...
I'm a fan of overkill - I love the dual alt setup. And having an extra battery has already saved me once when one of my main batteries died. I was able to swap it with the 12 volt side and get going quickly.
I just bought one of those fancy, heavy duty, made in America magnets to use when cleaning up steel jacketed remains. I'll bring it out and go over everything before we leave. We're staying through Monday.
Our plans are firming up. We will roll out of 92595 late Saturday afternoon and arrive at camp as soon as safely possible. We plan to stay through Monday. So much to clean up.
We have a Boy Scout fundraiser until 2 or 3 pm Saturday. Still, we might come up for the night and clean up all day Sunday. Can't skip the fundraiser, we need several thousand more dollars for summer camp.
