The old one had a seized hydraulic head shaft. I had the pump replaced some months ago...many months... and the truck has been sitting. The truck sounds great at idle. I was surprised to find that fuel was not going to three cylinders. Fuel efficiency...ha ha...that was my first thought.

The data plate indicates about 10,000 lbs empty. I figure that the trailer is mostly aluminum so with a little hard work I can scrap out the aluminum apart from the steel. I think scrap steel is about $0.10 per pound and aluminum about $0.50 per pound. I too hate throwing in the towel...but...

I got crazy on GL and bought some things I probably should not have. I had purchased it with the intentions of converting it to some type of camper. I also have a 818. My problem was that I did not relocate my items in a timely manner so either I paid a lot of storage or owe a lot of storage...

Payed about $1,000 in July 2010. Looking at the weight I should get more than that if scrapped. I've been paying storage for over a year so I know I will not recoup all of my investment.
