If it has the NHC250 Cummins then I believe there is a screw on the back of where the stop Em. stop cable hooks to the ip that can be screwed in ( or out, can't remember) to let the motor run with out any electrical. You might look it up in the TM to see which way it should be to run normally

That clutch handle is not to be used to spool the winch in by standing at the front of the truck ( as you found out). It's a simple dog ear clutch, meaning with a load on it it will not easily disengage. This is not meant as a dig on the OP. It's meant for anyone new to these trucks/winches...

The DTID is not the vin. It's just a number that either DRMO or GL assigns to the item for tracking.
