square ir filters to cover the lights will only project light above 808 nm, and will add a lot of range to the nv gear you are using, good late gen 3 stuff does not really need much in the way of ir illumination to work well or at longer ranges

I have never used them, but i do a LOT of nv driving, many miles a year, i am planning to check em out with the gen 3 stuff we have just for kicks and giggles

i wish i were closer.... the front end is simple, but heavy, just look for loose stuff, it may be bearing adjustments, tie rod ends, just like a car but larger, i am sure someone will jump in and rescue you soon, we have a very helpful bunch of guys here
