Also not sure if you need a head board or not? I do not have the one you need, however Gimpyrob, or Junkyardwarscrusher likely still have have some real nice NOS headboards that I believe are what you need for the non dropside bed.
I think the stars may have aligned! I think I have what you need, and they are in good condition as well. My plans where to modify them to fit my dropside, but trading would be much easier. I will have to dig them out to confirm what all I have...
Yes, 1850 is max high end spec, be careful, best to shoot for 1750 for varying conditions, oil temp ect... if the winch wont pull it at 1750, you need to double line, or pay more cable out to get on the inner layers, or both. I run a gauge on mine by my controller so I can always tell where I’m at.
Not new, or cheap by any means, but yet a wonderful thing, and worth every penny.
As usual though the stuff on Ebay and Amazon can be very hit or miss in quality, especially with the solder flow and adhesion.
That’s the problem I have on my M925a2, that I put a dump hoist on. I just cant get the weight on my steers that I want. The bed and frame handle 12-13 ton no problem, but I start pushing the legal limit on the bogie. This is why I have been trying to find the factory rating for the front axle...
I’m fairly certain the #10,195 is total gross, with the “semi trailer payload” added to the curb weight, this would also coincide with the rear bogie gross weight with the #15,000 cross country 5th wheel load.
Assuming the tractors are the same as the cargo trucks, in the fact that the front...
So it looks like around 48k max gross on 3 axles is about the magic number, with the exception of the wrecker at 51k. Matches up to what my brakes are telling me, at 48k don’t really notice much difference over empty. Above 48-50ish required pedal pressure increases quickly.
Glenngineer do you...
/\ Displays like these may be the answer to the OP’s original post. Remember you are representing all of us, and we are in a fight to keep our rights to drive our MVs on public roads.
Also, I would say the ratio of our MVs in private hands used as pavement crawlers, are close to Jeep owners...
I have been searching for real published load ratings on these axles for years, and have a feeling you are going to be pushing the limits of your steer axles, hopefully Glengineer will get some concrete info from the source!
The most I can get is 12-13,000 lb on my steer when hauling stone...
I think Tobys had a direct mount pto and pump for sale, but he hasn’t been on board in quite some time. If you cant get him through PM, I may have his number. Ive been meaning to get ahold of him anyway to check and see if he’s ok.
“The transmission will not drive the pto properly unless it is in neutral” , or in gear with the truck moving.
Depending on your application will determine weather it will work for you. While not great for commercial parking lot clearing, the transmission pto will work fine for hwy, private...
