thanks for the resistor info. the first thing i did was check all the fuses and found the very bottom was blown and replaced it. then i pulled the voltmeter out.

The cut blue wire leads to the large relay(i think its a relay?) that is tied up above the fuse block under the dash. is this the relay for the Black out lights? John

Does anyone know a good company to go through for extended brake lines? and has anyone gotten away with the stockers for a bit? or is it too much with a 4" lift? They all seem pricey, but for safety, $1xx isn't bad at all. John

i didnt have any problems with starter power, its just seemed to stutter as a fuel issue. John

OK so i tightened both alternator belts to get rid of the squeaking whenever the glow plug relay popped in the mornings and since then i have not had any startup problems. No complaints from me but these two things shouldn't be related right? John

I tried parking it in the driveway withth efront of the truck downhill and it only died faster upon startup. I might try and replace all the lines near the filter unit. but that pressure thing that was mentioned may be what i need. John

I had the truck backed up the driveway the whole time I did all the above mentioned, so it was nose downhill. but now its back to nose uphill. if i have problems later tonight or in the morning i will back it up the driveway and let it sit to try what you said. John
