Are you not all assuming that the AVM hubs di-sected on this post are of new, current manufacture? Could it be possible that the hubs that Gerhard purchased from the Latin American distributor are new old stock from a previous production run?

Quick long question Ernie. How old was the axle shaft, how worn was the shaft, was the shaft cut correctly and could the Ouverson, Selectro and or Warn units have possibly done the same thing on the indicator test?

Gringeltaube, You mention AVM part 443 in one of your post's. That is the correct part # that John Tennis sells for the 2 1/2 ton axle. You are showing in one of your pics an AVM box with part # 4 465 on the end. Are you actually comparing the correct #443 AVM hub with Ouverson's?

Most US Military surplus parts, clothing and such, can not be exported. Trying to figure out what can be exported is extremely difficult. There are a multitude of agency's involved and no "one stop shopping" for permits or data.
