We used to use a aerosol spray on penetrant dye for checking welds, was some incredible stuff, I’d bet it would light up the smallest cracks in a block?

Thats the joy of 16.5’s. If you have a really good air source, soap the beads, use a lock on chuck with the valve core removed, and another air hose with a wide-open nozzle and blow air in the bead.

You can run 16.5’s with out bead-locks but don’t air down. Clean out the sealer replace the O-rings with new and use rubber lube on them.

Yeh, lot less chance of needing the parts if you have them paid for sitting there.

Pull the head, hopefully you wont even need to mess with the lower end.
