If your lift pump is working, you cannot "Loose your prime" . If you turn the power on you should fill all the filters and lines in 10 seconds maybe a bit more. If in fact you are "losing your prime" leaving the power on and not cranking is the proper way to re-prime the system.

Last time I bled the deuce I did exactly Roger-Wilco advised and it worked well. I was chasing the Phantom air buibble and got it. The other nice feature of that way of bleeding the brakes is that you can do it entirely by yourself. No Soldier B required.

air pack is done
In the deuce, Your master cylinder produces about 500 psi of brake pressure. The air pack increases that to nearly 2000 psi. If your pedal goes to the floor and then pumps up, I would believe that the master is pressurizing the brake system but it needs several pumps to fill...
I added Jatonka Spin on oil filter adapters first and they make changing the oil and filters super easy and not messy at all. I also have his primary oil adapter and filter which was easy to install and makes changing the filter far easier than using the aftermarket primary filter that is...
When I suscribe to a thread, (or all the ones I am already suscribed to) I am not getting notifications of new posts. I checked my settings as well and they are properly set for me to get instant notifications of new posts and I have not gotten a notification in many days.
Any clue as to why...
Not receiving notifications of new posts to threads
I am not receiving notifications of posts to the threads I am suscribed to. This is specifically since the revamp a few days ago.
As per the advice I checked my settings for notifications and they are set as they should be for instant...
If you taker the deuce in for a "SMOG CHECK" please do us all a favor and videotape it. I am sure the technician will have never seen diesel that is as non-compliant as a deuce multifuel.
Truthfully, you should be exempt for the age of your truck. I suspect you are being led down the...
I run 50 in the front and 35 in the back. I also carry an S280 shelter all the time. Even with the load, I have checked tire wear and found that at 50, the rears were wearing centers off faster than the shoulders of the tires. I gradually lowered the pressure until I hit 35 and found the...
I reviewed this thread and I was impacted by the devasatation of the smaller car. I would wonder that the dead were not seriously injured by the rear end impact to begin with. The energy required to push a car 10-20 feet into oncoming traffic with the brakes set is considerable and has a...
For as important as the air pack is in the braking system, I would either rebuild it, or replace it if you cannot rebuild it. I also recommend as DOGHEAD said, to rebuild the master cylinder at the same time.
If either fail, you have no brakes and safety should be the primary issue that you...
I did a little snow and ice deuce driving last winter and was very cautious at the outset and more so after the roads got slushy. I decided afterwards that the deuce is capable in the snow, and that I would rather take my 3/4 ton suburban 4x4 with the aggressive mud and snows any day of the...
check the blower switch first
The switch may be the culprit. The switch provides power to the blower through the resistor until you ask for High speed wich should be operated by a relay. I would make sure there is power to the switch and then from the switch to the plug that connects to the...
The M915 has a dual voltage alternator. The amperage ratings favor the 12 volt side if I am not mistaken as the M915 is primarily a 12 volt vehicle. In a deuce the low amperage 24 volt side may not be enough to support the batteries.
If this alternator is from the M915 series, I would not...
The seal for the front axle that keeps the gear oil from venturig into the bearings is #37 consisting of parts 39 and 38 which seals the axle tube to the axle shaft inboard of the knuckle. I believe this was your original question. The seal at the back of the hub is a dirt and moisture seal. The...
Are you looking at the right parts list. The parts list AFTER the diagram is for the next assembly. The breakdown for 108 is on the pages before the diagram
