And the man is there to make money. Why would the UPS store do the work and not get the profit. FYI, if someone has an UPS account, UPS can be directed to pick up a package at whatever location assuming it is pre-boxed.
RE: Re: UPS
$200.00 shipping for how much weight? I can't drive from northern NY, 16 hours round trip for $200.00. I use these guys all the time for UPS shipable stuff. And I bet the qoute is for something the UPS store hasn't even seen or weighed yet.

So if you go ligit, this would include US DOT or NY DOT reg and numbers. You are in fact over 10000 lbs, in commerece and this vehicle is not your sole means of transportation. If you plan on going out of state, US Dot numbers are required. In state only, would require NY Dot numbers. Log...

The material is a spun fiber. If you were to use the wrong cleaning compound on them, they will dissolve. If you scrub too hard on the surface, they will shead. Originally they were white. They have the same NSN with a different part # as the 2 1/2 ton filter. Last I checked, I had both styles...

RE: Re: Fuel filter question
The A-10 Warthog jet uses similar filters as the 2 1/2 ton truck. The pic on 6/9 ( 100-3059) is the secondary fuel filter on the Warthog. The primary looks the same but is shorter. The nice feature of the Warthog filter is that they can be cleaned easily and reused.
I spoke with Len Wise at Dumont Specialty. He re-packs and is a distributor for military grease. The BASE grease for GAA is "#2 lithium complex grease". #2 lithium complex grease off a store shelf is not GAA, UNLESS the container states that it meets specs for MIL-C-10924. There are a multitude...

The ones I sell are oak. New stock. I have seen both oak and maple in issue bows and other componets. Oak is a denser wood and will hold up better than maple.
The JATonka fire department brush truck's differential braking system is a third brake with a single caliper. Dual calipers are available. I will check out the plumbing when it gets back. With the air assist power steering (airmatic) and such, a 3rd airtank was also installed.
Short issue primarys filter come in 2 styles, both with the same nsn. 1 is pleated paper media and the other is a white hard porous material. The second is reusable, but use only diesel or kero to clean it. Using the wrong cleaning product will dissolve it.
