The solenoid on top of the starter on my m1009 cracked while reinstalling it. My question is is the solenoid a 24v or 12v solenoid? Where can I buy a replacement?
I loosened all the injector lines and attempted to.start it. I could hear the starter engage, but the motor would not turn over. I though I killed the batteries so I charged them up and it still did the same thing. My guess is I killed the Chinese dbelectric starter yesterday. Also, is it...
I think I might have figured it out. When I installed everything, I forgot to install the fuel return hose. When I first started it up it ran fine for about 2 minutes then shut off. I realized my mistake with the fuel return hose after this. I installed the fuel return hose but it would start...
Just installed new injection pump and new injectors. Now it won't run at all. It will start, idle rough and pour white smoke out the exhaust, then will stall. I've tried over and over and it won't idle smooth and stay running. I also installed a spin fuel filter and electric fuel pump. What's...
I just noticed on one of my m1009s that the metal clamps/clips that attach the metal injector lines to the intake manifold are missing. Is this something I should worry about?
I picked up 2 in the last two months from govdeals. The first one was $1400, runs perfect but is rusty. The second one I just got last month for $600. It needed 2 batteries and a new starter and it started right up. Yes I got lucky. I also bought a 3rd one last month off of craigslist for $600...
I really don't know how much water went down the bolt hole, I'm just thinking that it couldn't have been a lot. I plan onpulling the glow plugs and turning over the engine, my only problem is everything all taken apart in preparation for the new IP. The new IP won't be here until Thursday , so I...
I'm in the process of putting on a new IP. I removed the intake manifold and stuffed the holes with some rags to keep crap from going in there. I didn't think about the actual bolt holes though, and washed out all the crap that has accumulated in the engine valley. I noticed that most of the...
I'm pretty sure the IP is toast. But to make sure, I need some second opinions. M1009 died while driving and would fire right back up then idle rough and die again. I cleaned out the fuel return valve, which was clogged, then it ran fine for a couple hours. Then it did the same thing. I...
The other day my 1009 suddenly lost power and stalled. It would crank right back up, then blow out a lot of smoke, then stall gain. I removed the fuel return valve and found it clogged with small pieces of coffee ground looking pieces of something. I broke out the glass ball and reinstalled it...
The other day my m1009 shut off and would start back up and idle rough, blowing out a lot of smoke through the exhaust. Through here I found out that the fuel return valve on the IP was clogged. I removed it and took the glass ball out of it, the valve was clogged. I reinstalled it and drove it...
Update, I was able to limp it close enough to work and walk the rest of the way. It just won't move any further. It will crank right up and idle fine for about 10 seconds then will start to idle rough and loses all power. I forgot all about having AAA (dad gave it to all of us for a Christmas...
I need some help. I driving down the highway and all of a sudden, I had loss of power and had to pull over. The m1009 started idling rough and blowing blue smoke out of the exhaust. I let it sit for a minute an started it and it drove fine for another 30 miles, then it did the same thing...
First off, I know to look at the tm, but I'm away from a computer (posting from phone) for a week or so and I can't look up the manual. I have press the pedal hard to the floor for it to downshift while trying to pass someone. Is there a way to adjust the kickdown on the th400?
I just turned off my ignition and removed the key. But then after about 1 second, the gen 1 light and oil light on the dash turned on and has stayed on. When I start it back up, the lights go out as normal. As soon as I turn the key off, those lights come back on and stay on. Any ideas?
