Just got back a little while ago, here is the scene at the Fall Desert Rally, really cool meeting everyone, great group of people. We (me and my dad) went out for the day, we have somewhere to go tomorrow but hope to be able to go back out late after noon tomorrow. My dad shot some photos and...
Ok Guys, Things have changed, I will be attending for the day today once I get a few things taken care of, But not with any of my Military trucks. My Dad will be with me, so we will be heading out in my gray z71 Chevy Crew cab.
Ok, from the photos it looks like you need at minimum a new button and retaining clip, that little bit is whats left of the button and the clips gone those little pieces in your photo may be whats left of the clip. This photo is from the thread linked above, you can see the clip and the button...

Also the cheapest place I found for a new one was E*ay for half the price napa, just type in the part number and socket. US Made OTC part number 1907 for the 3" 8 point socket. Also I just checked the classifieds on here, some one has some listed for the same price I paid when I bought mine.:-D

If you would like you can come and take a look at mine to see in person if one will work out for what you want to do. I am also considering building and RV out of one of mine after reading all the threads on here. I havea M185A3 listed in the classifieds on here. One thing on registering it rv...
