Yeah, his last email said he was at a gas station in Casper, WY when he met these guys and got to talk with them - that was a couple of hours ago. Sure wish I could take a few weeks (or month) and do it with them! That sure was a nice '37 Ford!
He said there was a box duece (which is an M109) pulling an engineer trailer that was from South Carolina, 2 other trucks from Australia, and others. He also said they started in SC with 5 vehicles - now there is 12. There are tags from SC, GA, TX and AK. They are meeting "the Jeeps" in Canada...

We rented the Cougar camper - near the lodge? - we'll have the m38a1 going back and forth. I think I'll bring the bcycles so we can tour around the place and get some of that (much needed) exercise!
I'm in kind of the same shape - thats why I had to rent a camper. Need to get the Rv there along with the jeep on a trailer - wife won't drive the rv or pull a trailer (w/jeep). RV hitch isn't rated high enough to pull trailer w/ jeep. Only solution is to get a duece and put the jeep in the back...
For some reason, nobody serviced the front ales on these things! It's not really a hard or expensive job either. I'd much rather clean and grease them than have to replace the bearings!
Mine sounded like a rod knock - thought it was the exhaust at first, but traced it down to the generator vibrating on the motor mount. Turns out the belts I had on it were too long, causing the generator to touch the motor mount.
