I just thought some you may want to know about this. And if you all want to have a booth let me know and I will see if I can make it happen or bring some truck, or planes, tanks whatever to the car show.
i got my M1009 for $400 but it needed batteries and was told it would run but the engine was locked up but I found I M1008 for parts and now have a M1009 with 1 ton axles and a good running engine and have about $1400 in it total so far but I got mine to be a toy. I looking for some bigger tires...
I finally got my truck running yesterday for the first time since I have own it. newer engine (to me anyway from a local fire truck) and the axles from the same truck ( M1008 ) now it's time to find a tilt column and fix the back window and let the fun begin.

yea I searched too before I posted. I would have bet money on their be posts on this. but nothing came up.
I figured it will be a plug and play swap but thought I ask.
there is more to just swapping axles also. I learning first hand if you use axles from a M1008 the front will fit but you will need to look at doing a high steer conversion also, and for the rear the spring perches are 1.5" per side to narrow so you will have to more them and the shock mounts...
OK, so I put the rear ends out of both trucks and M1009's spring perch is about 3" wider than the M1008's. and it looks like the front may be about 3/4-1" wider.
i would have thought the pickup being wider than the blazer but I guess I need to find one to move the perches.
