yet another tire question.. need help

all that suspension work and mods for tires that are just to big and your turning radius will be nothing also like said earlier, its just not worth it, and welding parts in a driveline is dangerous and can even be a law suit if something goes wrong , 395s look better and work , and it will still...

    sae 50w oil

sorry what i meant is your truck came with the 80/90 and is fine, 40/50 is better but we will never see a difference. in our use of these vehicles, unless U live in extreme cold climates. then the lower wt will make a difference.

    sae 50w oil

I think it was said a few times in this post that the TM manual calls for the 50 but the services use 80/90 EVEN though it calls for 50 in the tm they do not actually use it, why because its not important , that is were U are confused again, , so the hobby guys reading the tm want the product...

What holds the ends into the dogbones

Why? they are fine. there are so many points on that truck that could be upgraded , I really do not see how u could ever get the use of just that , U are going to have used ones pressed out ?used can also mean they went thru the stress of the first press already too. U can buy em out already...

    sae 50w oil

I am pretty sure hotter higher wt, colder lower wt. is a basic rule to follow in all oils, but there are exceptions, like age and wear. so really U are thinking the opposite, Treeguy , yes the 80/90 wt is fine for your truck, its what has been used in service since it was new probably, for...

    Deuce tow bar question

I towed deuce with deuce for a few trips of up to 400 miles ea. and have broke the 1000 mile mark for sure easy, never a problem at all, they track nice and handle well, the wrecker set # 7 is for tow barring in soft ground conditions because the steer wheels will take the easy route and do what...

    Truck inspection ford 6.6

They are and have been the backbone of the industry, Both good trucks.... :).. tough call, I think it would be a gut feeling after driving them, one must be a little tighter than the other, I would have to run em thru the gears and feel em before that decision .. good luck.

power limitations of a 250 Cummins?

My lack of knowledge on what a 250 can be bumped to do is showing ,now for how long it will last is a part of this too, i think with knowledgeable drivers like stalwart is its a go, and my post is my opinion in the range of my knowledge... like spOOn says for the deuce I also agree with , with...

    Rear covers and bow kits

Vinyl, like said, unless u have a 24087 olive drab, vinyl is the way to go for sure. If its stored out side when not in use for over a month I would throw a tarp just over the top, and leave it short on sides to let air blow thru, the top of everything seems to go way ahead of everything else...

power limitations of a 250 Cummins?

millions of threads on this to answer all your questions, 250s ...these are old but powerful and reliable motors, soopping them up is ...well silly... :) U may be in the wrong hobby, these trucks were built to go as fast as they do, speed is NOT what determines the coolness or efficiency of...
