It is just a standard petcock. You can put a pipe plug in it if you can't find the petcock.

Chuck, Here's some P/N's for the seal, slinger..it is called a seal too in QSOL and BMS...and the wear sleeve. Seal...3004316. Slinger..3200287. Wear Sleeve...190397. Here are some pics of how to change the wear sleeve, sorry they are blurry.

It doesn't matter if the engine turns while the seal is out or being pulled out. It is only a seal, nothing to do with timing. But, if the complese accessory drive is out, not a good idea to turn the engine, only for the tune up procedure.The seal is in the cover. You can't remove a seal from...

The "F" could just be a manufacturers mark. The fan should go on like in the top pic, the side facing up goes toward the engine. I have seen this a hundred times. The fan will still pull air, just not as it is supposed to or enough CFM across the core. The end result is usually a slow steady...

RE: Accessory drive seal leaking bad on cummins engine in M8 There is an installer for the seal, but you can just use a ball peen. Push it in 'till the outside face of the sael is flush with the housing. Make sure you install the new slinger and the sleeve on the pulley...#70 in the last...

Steve, the suction needs to before the inlet of the w/p. The plug on the side should be correct. The fan will still pull air in the direction yours is in, but not as good. Turn it around and the temp should hug the stat, around 160 to 180.

Steve, your fan blade is on backward. You will also have no flow thru the inhibitor you put on, it is plumbed into the pressure side. It needs to have a suction to pull it thru the filter.
