    Got another Deuce! ('70)

Took the truck out to the country for a school project photo shoot the other evening.

    Got another Deuce! ('70)

Misc busted donor trans pics, radiator needing repair.

    Got another Deuce! ('70)

The donor 2nd and main shaft fit is .006" loose, should be .0045" max, so it's temp until I get new parts from m35tom. I have a bunch of pics I was trying to upload from my phone yesterday, I'll try to get them up today.

    Got another Deuce! ('70)

Pulled an all nighter and rebuilt and reinstalled the trans in the '70 with used parts from donor transmissions for the time being.

    IP/HH/fuel setting/starting questions

Yes, but had the probe in the wrong location originally. Gets warm quick, will be turning it down, but I'm used to babysitting a pyro. It's hard to do in the dunes though.

    Deuce Transmission

10-4. On the one hand, it would probably actually be less work to pull the main with it in the truck, but would be good to go through the whole trans anyway. I have not had good luck with them, which is why I'm getting good at working on them. Need to get the upgraded stuff from Tom.

    Deuce Transmission

I go from above as well, with a straight extension, lose tq with the wobblers it seems.

    Deuce Transmission

The first trans i pulled in a dirt lot in the middle of nowhere took me and a buddy half a day. Didn't do enough homework. The other night, I dropped my trans, rebuilt it with new bearings and parts from a couple other transes, and reinstalled it. Finished before the sun came up. Like gimp...

What is the temp difference pre and post turbo?

    IP/HH/fuel setting/starting questions

WARNING! DO NOT install your pyrometer probe in the existing hole in the rear of the manifold! It will give you a significantly low false temp reading, making you think it's not as hot as it is and possibly melting your pistons!

    TMG weekend adventure 4/28 - 4/31/2016

Bummed, can't make it, family stuff.

    IP/HH/fuel setting/starting questions

Turned it up til the nut stopped. 1200 climbing an overpass in 5th, haha. Sure do like it, I can keep up with traffic from stoplights around town now without flooring it, winding it out, and shifting as fast as possible.

    IP/HH/fuel setting/starting questions

Used to peg my cummins at 1600 for short bursts. It didn't last... At what point does the adjustment bolt twist off?

    IP/HH/fuel setting/starting questions

Got a pyro rigged up off the 2nd batt, the one with neg to ground. Made 800 degrees max on flat ground hogging on it in 4th and 5th. Went 22 flats, bout 7 threads showing, woke the old girl up nicely. Starts with a bang and a puff of smoke like the '62, smokes medium when accelerating. Can feel...

    75 mph in a Deuce

Pics of deuces on those 11.00s are actually somewhat hard to find in my experience. Can't wait to get mine on.

    TMG weekend adventure 4/28 - 4/31/2016

I should be in. Did an allnighter and rebuilt the deuce trans. This is somewhat local to me, and I can vouch for it being a fun spot.

Trans build: Input shaft to input bearing cap fit dimensions?

Bump...rebuilding trans, would be nice to have those dimensions. I don't think either was leaking, so I guess I could just go with the parts with the closest fit.

Trans build: Input shaft to input bearing cap fit dimensions?

It's a heck of a lot better than my others. I'll press it off and measure today. I have another 2nd gear to try too. Deuce is scheduled for maneuvers in the desert this weekend, so this one may have to suffice for the time being. Don't have time to wait for one to get here from 'sinker or M35Tom.

    Got another Deuce! ('70)

Yanked the main shaft out of the '62 tonight. 2-3 synchro is gone, and it was noisy due to bad bearings. Couple teeth busted off reverse countershaft...but 2nd doesn't appear to be too loose on the main shaft. Will disassemble and measure tomorrow.
