all M35's are robust trucks IMHO the weak point in the early one's 1950's is the Sprag Type T-case, the OA331 engine
is a well made 50's truck engine it's big, loud and prone to valves sticking when they set for years the parts availability is
very good dealers like saturn surplus, Memphis...
RE: Differences between 1950
mirrors came in three different styles deep water fording kit went from a cable pull on the dash to a air switch
starter went from a foor switch to a dash switch head lights went from low to high.
for any one that want's a spin on oil filter look for a base off a White 2-135 it runs a LDT-465 engine with spin on filters and a Box Style fuel filter.
all is perfect except for the main shaft but there's a problem my winch IS OLD like 1950's old and never really got
used but the "bull" gear has a cut out the worm ride's in so the worm has to come out first and because the
winch is almost all the way apart RDM's method wont work so time for...
I've made it to the point point of removing the worm gear per TM 9-2320-209-34-2-3 page
18-2 Frame 8 it say's " Using rawhide mallet, tap gear end of drive worm (3) untill front
ball bearing (4) is free of gearcase (1) and take bearing off drive worm"
but I cant move it any which way any one...
bjorn not that I know of, I'm always trying to find specs on the internet with little if any luck but some times
a "google" search will try up a manufacturer that can give a civvy cross hope this helps.
