Those are actually both 5-tons. M813 on the right, and what looks like an M923 on the left. The cab on the 939s are higher set and wider than the M813; the hood, obviously, is much larger also. The M809 series 5-tons use the same cab as the M35 types. The attached picture of two of my trucks...

It should stick just fine. I had truck wheels powder coated gloss black, I gave them a quick scuff with a red Scotchbright pad and painted over them with flat paint. That was 15 years ago, and the paint is still on them. ;) Cheers

Marsh font might actually make sense from another perspective - the old stencil cutting machine I have is made by Marsh. ;) It has the standard US military Stencil Gothic BE in it though. Cheers

The black CARC typically fades to a bluish grey, as on your truck. I've seen some touchups of black fade to almost white (I'm guessing some off the shelf spray paint was used rather than CARC proper). My Marine M813 had some that faded that way. Love that t-shirt! :ROFLMAO: Cheers

That's a nice looking Humvee, DREDnot! (y) Marine tactical vehicles, and the troops who operate them, routinely deploy on various types of Navy landing ships so most have the markings on them. Cheers
