Also, check p/s hoses-- especially from Cadillac valve and to cooler. Had one blow on the trail and one in the driveway.... What a mess.. For the extra 20/30 minutes I change mine now with napa braided hose before driving. Just one more thing off the to do list and it Sucks having the hood up on...
The sad thing is that you can get your Humvee tagged in Commiefornia, unlike the oppressed here in Floriduh. Do you need a tag light on the front of your ride if state requires ft. and rear tags??? If not why??? What if you commit a crime and leave in reverse!!!!! baaaahhhhaaaaaaaaaa
The 6.2 is no tire boiler, but as stated it wasn't meant to be. Dependable and simple-- Once you go through your regular maintenance, it should give you many miles of service.
The older I get, the slower I want to go. So, I guess I'm turning into Humvee--- slow and dependable!!!
Scored 2 nice fuel cans, but had old yellow faded/scratched paint. Used brake fluid and a scotch-brite pad and they look almost new again. Brake fluid wont hurt the plastic and dissolved the paint without sandpaper scratches.
I changed a 6.5 to a 6.2 l. The customer purchased the motor before he knew what he had. Went right in with no problem. Basically the same as far as I know.
