One negative thought the 916 is a short wheel base and I've always seen CA trucks long wheel base. I thought it was because of some bridge law you have there. You may already know this.

The added feature of have a winch would let you use a removable goose neck trailer or even folding goose neck. Plus having the winch would be nice if you have to winch something up the trailer. I think it would be a good choice depending on pricing.

Try the easy things first as in checking the bulbs. Then go to the switch under the dash / pedal fire wall I think you call it sending unit? had a 931A1 that I had to change it out.

I agree with R Racing. I think this would be a fast way to find out. Don't leave out head gasket leaking as a maybe!

WI think you need to identify the starter as 12 or 24 volt first. I don't have experience in your truck but I do on the 939 series and they are marked 24 volt. Like NDT said it could have been converted to 12. Are the lite bulbs marked 12 or 24? When you jumped it were you using 12 volt?

As in Italia you must use an agency. Are you trying this direct with the DMV? Like Italian Spain's DMV is so corrupt that you must use a agency and PAY to get your documents. It sucks that a person can't go direct and do it his self but the Latino attitude is everyone needs to work!

Looks like parallel 12 volt to me too.

My M35A2 had the same problem till I power flushed the radiator and heater core. Now it blows all the hot air I want.

I think that's a good idea. The lighter the better and also the cheapest. I use the A2 with the air cooler to pull the APC's. I was always in super hot temps pulling the trailer which is heavy by it self and the APC's. But when I eliminated that water cooled trans system the temps went down by...
