The original bracket didn't fit the gear reduction starter I put in either. I just grabbed some scrap angle iron and made a new bracket to fit the new starter. Took about an hour to make, and it's been on there since about 2012.

I don't know, I think Prospector needs to make the giant jenga just a little bigger...
