Used Rustoleum rusty metal primer on mine. Prepped rusty areas with high speed wire wheel on an angle grinder. On the areas with good CARC i used a palm DA sander. Going on one year and no adhesion issues. I'm sure there are reasons not to go this route but so far I'm pretty happy. ;) I let the...
Another thing to keep in mind is that military vehicles were designed to have an unlimited supply of replacement parts and mechanical support. In other words, the taxpayers picked up the bill for parts and maintenance so periodic breakdowns or rebuilds were not as big a deal to a motor pool than...
I am going up either Thursday night or Friday morning. Normally I take route 4 to 202 so I can link up with anyone coming from the Seacoast, Portsmouth, Dover, Rochester, Barrington, Epping or Southern Maine areas.

Looking forward to...

Right side went back together very easily, I was terrified that the axle would have shifted and caused an alignment issue when I went to lower the...
Bridgeport at my work. I'm building a fixture to set in the vise so the angles on both will be identical even though I'm doing them one at a time.
Got started on my mods yesterday.
I already got the spacer plates painted up and waiting in the cab.
Replaced the cap screws and pulled the right side spring perch for caster angle modification. Just a couple more days and I'll be ready to change them over!
