windshield wipers- how are they supposed to work?

This is quite common. What DesertRat said to do is exaclty what I do on trucks. 90% of the time this cures the problem.

question for ANYBODY that had a 3 lever switch die

I usually drive in service drive..I figure with the headlights on if some yahoo runs in to me I'll be less at fault. You can run in daylight in the stop ligh position, but make sure that the panel lights are in any position other than park. As for what cause the switch to burn out hard to say...

back home with the deuce! but that light switch..

Nice looking truck. If you need actual GI paint I got it. Ditch he air buzzer and replace it with the warning light kit that's available. Forget putting wood troop seats on it, you can pick up a complete set of fiberglass troop seats for under $200 at the Tower Park meet in Lodi this spring...

question for ANYBODY that had a 3 lever switch die

This might be of some help to ya http://www.olive-drab.com/od_mseries_lightswitch.php3 The few times I've seen a problem with these light switches are when someone forces the levers. it's possible that before you bought it someone, even a GI, could have tried to force the levers without first...

    M756A2 Pipeline Maintenance Truck

If I remember right Jack Tomlin had a complete one. If anyone can giveyou any information that guy can! I don't know how helpful that would be though, Jack is such a wealth of knowledge that sometimes he can actually give you too much info making your head spin for weeks after<img...

    Turbo

Good choice Wyattearp. I rebuilt one of the turbos on my pulling truck. About three months later I noticed some shaft play, took it to a highly reputable shop and he said the balance was within factory specs, but factory specs can be as much as 15% from a dead zero balance! He said they don't...

    Turbo

Your best off to get a good used or a new one. You can rebuild the turbo but they really need to be rebalanced after you reassemble them, if they are off just a hair they could last forever or five minutes.

    Hi-Lift jack under axles?

That's another good point, I've had people try to open up my trucks and such "I drove these back when I was in the Army" Man nothing ticks me off worse, if it ain't yours don't touch it. What kind of parents raised you<img src="emoticons/icon_smilie_bitchin.gif" alt="Bitchin"><img...

    Hi-Lift jack under axles?

Good point on the bigger jack. The BII jack is pretty useless, just wanted to say that a bottle jack is probably easiest kept with the truck. R 4x4 brought up a good point on the wheel chocks too. I keep mine stowed on top of the fuel tank between the edge of the tank and frame rail. Having them...

    Hi-Lift jack under axles?

BII (basic issue items) kit comes with a bottle jack. Don't know if you'd be able to use the Hi-lift without hurting yourself.

when your NDT's wear out, what have you all done?

I run mine until they are drag slicks. Surplus market is the best deal you can find. You'll want to come to our military vehicle shows over here on this side of the mountains, you can find anything and everything for your truck there.
