Today I began moving JEEPSINKER'S LDS engine across the garage floor to it's permanent storage place. How much does the engine, tranny and winch assembly you see weigh? I used my 5 ton and 3 ton floor jacks as dollies; getting the front of the assembly balanced was a task solved by using that...
May I tell you all that judging by today's postings, I am going to make my spare engine into a running stationary engine, all painted up, like the collectors do on YOUTUBE. I will post progress reports on this thread. WHATADEUCE
Purchased a spare engine / tranny / winch assembly for my motor pool. The loader lost its brakes and blew a hydraulic cylinder, and also it was to tall to enter my garage, but the motor is inside and I'll dolley it to its location once I remove the springs...
I add Lucas Oil Stabilizer to my 90 Wt. oil for my tranny. I am also concerned about tranny noise...the noise of having to change it out when it fails because of poor oil choice!
Today I bought a spare M35A2 engine, complete, with the radiator, and the winch, actually the seller torch cut the front of the truck off, removed the axle and springs, and cab, and I get all the mechanical stuff for spares! Bought two doors too!
Read the instructions for the installation of my ARB Model # RD145 air locker. It is going into my M35A2. I will post pics when the project begins. Watch out mud-holes, here I come!
