Ahab they are rivets , I used some 1/16 steel for the case and 1" steel for the bracket it's not going anywhere lol -

If you are mechanically inclined you can repair everything yourself and you will learn about your truck which comes in handy if you do break down. It can feel overwhelming so it helps to focus on 1 project at a time but with all the help here you should be fine! Welcome from MD- theeDIZ

She handled better than I expected but almost got her stuck twice , was some heavy wet snow on a frozen road. Thank god for the air shift front axle -
