It's all a compromise. I first did part of my truck in semi gloss and it didn't look good at all but the Satin (Matt) did what I wanted. My paint job is over six years old and the paint probably lost half of the sheen. My truck sits outside so the sun does its thing.

The color is an old WWII German Panzer green with an extra shot of black. My buddy came up with it for his Pinzgauer 712M and I painted my M101A2 to match so when I got my M998 I went the same way. The M101A2 fits the lines of the Pinzgauer perfectly.

A one time ship connex box would be my choice. A great positive with moving the spare tire is you could fab up a pass through from the cab to the box. The spare tire is a real problem and I'm not sure where I would put the damn thing. Please keep up updated as to the progress.

If you suspect a head gasket leak then you need a product like below. It will let you know one way or the other. It looks for exhaust gases in the coolant. Hope this helps.

I tried the cheaper stuff and I can tell you it fades quick compared to the rustoleum. It also flakes more. Been there done that and won't do it again.

Oh this is very sad news. Those guy are great and extremely knowledgeable in the vintage equipment game. Damn shame. Will never be a company like they are again.
